Wilton Manors is a multicultural, vibrant neighborhood in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. That being said wiltons accepts characters of any race, sex, age, orientation and background. You have complete control over your character. While each character is allowed to have their 'way of life' and opinions, ignorance will not be tolerated. If you don't feel that you can be mature in dealing with this demographic variety, this community isn't for you. Prejudice against any member that is deemed inappropriate will result in removal from the community. Characters under the age of 18 will not be accepted. PLAY-BY CHALLENGES ARE NOT ALLOWED, AS THERE ARE PLENTY OF FACES TO USE AVAILABLE! Each character must have their own journal a designated to this community. Journal names must relate to your character's name or nickname, without extra words, numbers, or underscores. Potential members should apply with no outside friends or sub-communities linked to their journal. AIM is optional but strongly encouraged! It's understandable that some people thrive on AIM interaction, and some people would thrive better in a thread based game. Software such as trillian and pidgin allow the usage of several linked AIM screennames. When joining the game, you must have a current ic spam post, a screened ooc entry and a bio entry in your character's journal, dated on the month and day on which you are applying. Depending on your preference and writing style this entry can be: a biography of your character, a narrative or a set of (10) detailed bullet points. Adds are on Mondays and Saturdays. Once accepted you are expected to make yourself known in the community within a time frame of three (3) days. This includes posting an intro and signing onto AIM/commenting to posts. Do not join if you intend on immediately going into a hiatus or making the bare minimum effort to stay in the community. No one likes a role hog - especially if there is interest from other parties to use the same face for their played-by. Please note and agree upon applying that we will not answer questions about why an application was deleted. Rejections happen when we have reviewed your application and we do not, for various reasons, see your character as a good fit for this game. We will let you know if a rejection could be pending for other reasons (i.e. a friends list that needs cleared out, or if your application can be improved). If this happens, you may feel free to apply again at any time in the future. |
| ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS |
Update limit within the community is four (4) weeks. A youtube vid/meme/survey/picture do not meet the requirements of an 'update'. Be creative and write about anything: a vent, a memory, an outtake of daily activities, a diary entry, etc. Also, if you want to start an open scene in your journal, this will count as an update! Open interaction is encouraged. Some of the best storylines aren't planned out. Hiatuses are available for members upon request. Any activity during the requested hiatus time will put you back into the 'active' state.
There are four ways wherein current members become eligible for override:1. When their journal has not been publicly updated within 4 weeks. The exception to this rule is if the member has asked us for an update extension, ensuring they're active in their role otherwise.Note that the above rules only come into play if an override is in question; we will not check for those things unless another writer wants the spot. Roles must remain overridable at the time of adds, so a member can fix the problem(s) before adds and get to stay. Please comment our dropbox before you attempt to override a role, and we will get back to you on that member's status. |

OOC/IC. Do not cross it. You won't be warned, you will be kicked out. Period. End of story. This also goes for god modding. Our top priority is that our members feel safe. We encourage members to only enable commenting from registered users.
Storylines in this community must be played out maturely and realistically. Research is your friend. If you are planning any major and or possible "dark" storyline (rape, abuse, drug use, eating disorder, miscarriage, etc) make sure that it is handled with care and if it involves another character that they are 100% okay with the storyline before continuing. This is common courtesy. Storybook writing, 'AIM' conversations, customs, threading, etc. are all welcome here. Please do not spam ad comms incessantly. Sometimes it does turn off prospective players to see a million ads all on the same page. Do a courtesy check of the ads already on the page before you post yours. |

Slash and femslash lines as well as transgendered and genderfluid characters are very welcomed in this game. Please keep all adult themed (nsfw) scenes and pictures under a cut and tag them appropriately. Domestic lines - male and female pregnancies and adoptions - are allowed in this community. Pregnancies must be applied for and must be carried out to full term unless it is written as a premature birth, which also should be written realistically. Full term pregnancies last nine (9) months game time. All pregnancy lines require a mod approval. Last but not least: have fun! Further questions?... use the dropbox! We look forward to writing with you! |
